Scholarship in memory of the late Dr. Ibrahim Umar Maniku.
The Universal Foundation is also offering a scholarship in the memory of the late Dr. Ibrahim Umar Maniku, this opportunity is offered to one eligible applicant, in one of the critical areas of internal medicine. Details are as follows:
- Field of Education: Internal Medicine
- Scholarship Level – Postgraduate
- Number of Scholarships – One
- Duration: 2-3 years
Expenses covered under this scholarship:
- Course fee (Tuition Fee)
- Student insurance cost
- Annual return ticket
- Monthly stipend
- Student visa-related expenses
Scholarship in memory of the late Dr. Ibrahim Umar Maniku Application Criteria:
- Must be a Maldivian National.
- Academic requirements (Specific Field) must be within the national skills shortage area.
- The University that offers the study programme must be within (Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand )
- Field of Education: Internal Medicine.
- Applicants must pass the selection interview.
- Scholarship Level – Postgraduate
- The study programme should not be an on-going programme or must not have commenced at the time of application for scholarship.
- The applicant should not be on paid leave, or any other scholarship.
- Must have obtained a letter confirming the university placement.
- A minimum of 2 years of service in a hospital in the Maldives is required after graduating with an MBBS degree.

- National ID Card / Passport Copies
- Placement letter
- Fee Structure of the course
- Details of any payments to the University.
- Copies of the certificates and transcripts of previous qualifications
- Work Experience letter.
- Recommendation letter by any Governmental / Non-governmental organizations.
- A letter from the last employer (or notice of termination) confirming whether the applicant will be on paid or unpaid leave.
